On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Business Analyst to be responsible for consolidating and analyzing opportunities, documenting the current state (e.g., processes and operating model), gathering requirements, and designing future state (e.g., requirements, processes, and operating model), working with technology team to translate business requirements to technology requirements, working with operations and change management teams to complete change impact assessments, design implementation tactics, and implementing the future state operating model.


Responsibilities:

• Understand vision and strategy and conduct data analysis and modelling to identify, analyze, and scope potential ideas and opportunities (i.e., changes to future state to achieve outcomes) with business operations

• Prepare for and facilitate workshops to document current state (processes and operating model), requirements, future state (processes and operating model) to ensure that target outcomes will be achieved

• Work with technology team to translate business requirements into technology requirements to ensure technology solution will achieve business needs

• Work with transition team to develop change impact assessment, communications, learning, materials for change tactics, and support implementation of future state business design and operating model

• Work with benefits measurement and reporting team to develop metrics, KPIs, and reports that will measure benefits following implementation of future state design

 

Sample deliverables:

• Idea development, analysis, and scoping; journey maps; requirements; current and future state process maps; current and future state operating models; level of effort estimates; plans and progress updates; user stories; epics; input into metrics, KPIs, and report design; input into change impact assessments; input into communications and training materials; etc.


Qualifications:

• Self-starter and ability to work effectively as an individual contributor, as required, as well as part of a team

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environment and build effective relationships

• Experience working in public sector unionized environment

• Experience working on a business transformation program or project


Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the claims process end-to-end
