On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for an Enterprise Data Architect who will be responsible for providing technical leadership to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency throughout solution lifecycle stages. The role includes leading data migration activities, defining strategies, and ensuring master data management (MDM) compliance, particularly for SAP S4/HANA migration projects.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the data migration process from legacy systems (including SAP) to SAP S4/HANA, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Define the data strategy, migration frameworks, and tools for successful data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Plan and oversee the technical execution of data mapping, cleansing, and validation activities.
• Lead the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, including tool implementation and governance.
• Collaborate with Business Data Owners to ensure data meets functional requirements across all departments.
• Define security standards and enforce data security measures throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure data migration verification and testing are conducted and meet business requirements.
• Coordinate with SI (System Integrator) to ensure successful implementation of ETL programs and data cleansing.
• Lead the Data Management Workstream, developing strategies for data volume, migration, and governance.
• Create and enforce Master Data Management policies, aligning data processes with business needs.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years experience working on data migration projects in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Data Architect role.
• Expert-level knowledge of Data Architecture, data management, data integration, and data quality platforms/tools.
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA migrations, including data migration and master data management (MDM).
• Proficiency in ETL tools and data mapping techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong experience developing and implementing MDM standards, strategies, and roadmaps.
• Excellent team leadership skills, with the ability to guide technical teams across various business areas.
Other Requirements:
• Must pass a criminal record check before starting the role.
• Resource must provide their own mobile phone for work-related activities.
• Onsite presence is required at 215 Garry Street, Winnipeg, MB, unless otherwise permitted by Manitoba.
• The role may involve extended hours to meet deadlines (overtime must be pre-approved).
