On behalf of our enterprise healthcare client, we’re looking for a Project Director for a multiyear initiative to consolidate the acute care information system.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation), experience working directly with multidisciplinary teams including various levels of senior management
• Authoring program and project documents including briefing notes, business cases, project charters, project scope documents, communication planning, communication deliverables, change requests, closure reports, presentations and other program delivery artifacts
• Develops, assists (where needed) and performs quality reviews of program documents, briefing notes, business cases, scope documents, charters and change requests, ensuring content meets Program and stakeholder acceptance criteria
• Leads the development of business cases directing solution definition, estimating, management tracking and reporting and stakeholder relationship cultivation and management
• Leads process review and improvement initiatives ensuring smooth transitions to new business and project execution workflows
• Coordinates with other team members in the organization to create or improve workflows, gather business support content and define actions to move projects forward
• Educates team members and organization stakeholders on new processes, sharing ideas and taking feedback
• Develops positive relationships with business, technical, and project stakeholders to enable successful project and strategy delivery
• Develop/Manage the project plans (budget, schedule, risk, etc.) with input from Project Team Members and other stakeholders
• Facilitate project communications across the organization and stakeholders
• Identify and manage organizational change requirements for the project working with provincial health sector Communications Leads
• Ensure that the project is on time, on budget and on scope
• Manage project scope change processes, and acquire approvals as required
• Manage Project Team performance of project tasks
• Control, track and report on the execution of the project plan and day-to-day aspects of the project
• Control, track and report on project financials (budgeted, planned and spent)
• Control, track and report on current and forecast resource usage
• Control, track and report on issues and risks identified for the project
• Escalate significant issues that cannot be resolved by the Project Team
• Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Sponsor and Stakeholders
• Schedule and chair Project Team meetings
• Documents all findings and recommendations
• Transition project deliverables to Operations (Production Turnover/PTO)
• Submit regular status reports to the Project Director, Executive Director, and Program Steering Committee
• Perform project management processes as per PMO standards
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• To execute the variety of projects required successfully, a mix of consultants on the team should be able to meet the criteria listed above
• Expertise of this nature would typically be gained from leadership roles, project management, and health informatics within the healthcare system, along with applied consulting best practices
• Individuals and/or a team of individuals will be required to have expert knowledge and demonstrated work in areas such as Change Management, Clinical Workflow, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Analyst, Clinical Application Education, Program Management, Data Architecture, Data Visualization, Analytics
