On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking an experience Enterprise Architect to assess the organization's current technology landscape, identify opportunities to reduce reliance on custom-built legacy applications, and develop a future-state architecture roadmap that leverages SaaS platforms, industry-standard solutions, and modern integration patterns.

Key Deliverables

1. Current State Assessment

• Document existing application portfolio
• Inventory custom-developed applications
• Identify technical debt and support risks
• Review integrations, data flows, and dependencies
• Assess infrastructure, security, and operational maturity

2. Application Rationalization

For each major platform:

• Retain
• Modernize
• Replace
• Retire

Assess:

• Business value
• Cost to maintain
• Technical risk
• SaaS alternatives available in market

3. Future State Architecture

Design a target architecture that:

• Reduces custom development
• Increases adoption of commercial SaaS platforms
• Uses modern API and integration capabilities
• Improves scalability and security
• Aligns technology investments with business strategy

4. Technology Roadmap

Develop a 2–5 year roadmap that includes:

• Prioritized modernization initiatives
• Quick wins
• Platform consolidation opportunities
• Budgetary estimates
• Sequencing and dependencies

5. Executive Recommendations

Produce:

• Architecture principles
• Vendor selection criteria
• Build vs Buy framework
• Risks and mitigation strategies
• Business case for modernization

• 10+ years of Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy, or Solution Architecture experience.
