A well-established energy sector organization is expanding its cybersecurity operations team and is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Operations Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technically advanced environment. We&#39;re looking for someone passionate about security, technically confident, and eager to help build and maintain resilient cyber defenses across a complex digital landscape. Responsibilities:·      As part of a dedicated cybersecurity operations team, your key responsibilities will include:·      Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing operational cybersecurity platforms, including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, PAM, MFA, vulnerability scanners, and more.·      Monitoring and triaging security events, managing incident response, and supporting vulnerability remediation.·      Analyzing threats, gathering cyber intelligence, and tracking evolving attacker methodologies.·      Developing and deploying monitoring use cases and establishing relevant KPIs and operational reporting.·      Leading or supporting investigations, audits, and post-incident reviews.·      Collaborating with IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity requirements are addressed across systems.·      Assisting in the transition of new cybersecurity tools and services into operational use.·      Providing mentorship and technical guidance to peers.·      Helping maintain internal cybersecurity documentation, standards, and incident response processes. Qualifications:·      ﻿6 + years of experience in cybersecurity operations within a mid-to-large-scale enterprise. ·      Demonstrated hands-on experience with a range of security technologies, including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, PAM, vulnerability scanners, EPM, MFA, NDR, email security, and security awareness platforms.·      Strong grasp of Windows and cloud-based security tools (including Microsoft and Azure security products).·      Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model, IDS/IPS, VPN).·      Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or similar.·      Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills.·      A proactive mindset with attention to detail and a desire for continuous learning.·      Familiarity with cyber threats, malware behaviors, and related indicators of compromise.·      Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, Security+, or equivalent (considered assets).·      Availability for in-office work 1–2 days per week in Vancouver; no on-call duties required. Salary range for this position is anywhere from $90,000 - $135,000 depending on fit and experience.
