On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design and build custom automations, integrations, and platform enhancements, with a strong focus on the Customer Service Management (CSM) module. This is a senior-level position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys turning minimal input into robust, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Custom Development & Automation:
o Design and implement solutions using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Flow Designer
o Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure custom applications and automation workflows
o Implement advanced CSM capabilities such as custom SLAs, routing logic, asynchronous processing (e.g., QueueHandlers, EventHandlers)
• Platform Enhancements & Integrations:
o Lead complex REST API and SOAP integrations with third-party systems
o Develop and maintain Scoped Applications and Agent Workspace enhancements
o Build or extend OpenFrame and CTI integrations (e.g., ServiceNow Voice)
• CSM & Core Module Configuration:
o Deliver robust solutions within Customer Service Management, while also supporting ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and related modules
o Support incident, problem, and request management aligned with ITIL best practices
o Customize Service Catalog, Record Producers, and fulfillment workflows
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• 1–2+ years of experience specifically within Customer Service Management (CSM)
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow's scripting engine
• Proven experience with:
o Scoped App Development, Agent Workspace, OpenFrame
o REST/SOAP integrations, MID Server configurations
o Custom SLA logic, routing rules, and background jobs
• Strong debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization skills
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and/or HR modules is a plus
• ServiceNow Certifications (CAD, CSA, and CSM/ITSM/ITOM specialization) preferred
• Strong understanding of ITIL practices and experience working in Agile environments
