Apply for BizTalk Developer

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a BizTalk Developer to work with the Systems Integration Services team to temporarily expand the team’s capacity to take on a higher volume of work and allow more projects and tasks to be completed in parallel. The successful proponent will be working on a wide variety of projects and operational tasks primarily in the non-healthcare space.

Responsibilities:

• Developing integration applications that meet business requirements and goals, while maintaining information integrity across all systems and adhering to standards and best practices

• Designing, developing, documenting, installing and configuring Integration applications within the provincial Integration Engine (MS BizTalk) environment

• Working with the various stakeholders (Business Teams, Project Managers, Project Teams, etc.) to ensure successful solution implementation

• Completing all assigned development and maintenance tasks (service requests, releases, incidents, problems, documentation etc.)

• Monitoring, performance-tuning and troubleshooting application and environment issues to meet and adhere to a high level of system availability

• Work directly with customers to define requirements and present solutions

• Responsible for guiding development using Biztalk products and other technologies to build integrations that support business requirements

• Managing technical scope and client expectation

• Ensure alignment with Systems Integration Services team

• Produce solution documentation following the Systems Integration Services team documentation templates

• Analyze existing solutions and update or created solution documentation

• Review solutions developed with, and transfer knowledge to, the SNB Systems Integration Services team

Qualifications:

Integration Development with Microsoft BizTalk (3 years)

• Developed integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013/2016/2020

• Experience includes integration with web services/APIs, File/FTP, databases, workflows, and secure authentication mechanisms

• Provided specific version experience, duration of use for each, and scope of integrated systems

• Described integration details and personal responsibilities in each engagement

Requirements Elicitation with SMEs (5 years)

• Worked closely with business and technical subject matter experts on gathering requirements and defining processes

• Demonstrated communication approaches including questioning, investigating, researching, and information-seeking

• Produced deliverables such as process documentation and requirements specifications

Application Integration Design & Implementation (3 years)

• Conducted analysis to support integration solution design

• Designed both net-new and enhanced solutions

• Evaluated decision points and documented rationale

• Produced design and implementation deliverables

Microsoft Development Languages – C#, .NET, XML, XSLT (3 years)

• Hands-on experience in C#, .NET, XML, and XSLT

• Described usage context and duration of experience in each language

• HL7 v2.x Interface Development with BizTalk (1 project reference)

• Developed HL7 v2.x interfaces using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013/2016/2020

• Detailed the BizTalk versions used and duration of experience

• Provided scope of integration, systems involved, and personal role in the project

Azure Integration Services Experience (1 project reference)

• Worked with Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure Functions, and/or API Management

• Described the specific Azure service used, systems integrated, and solution details

• Defined individual contributions and responsibilities in the project

Migration from BizTalk to iPaaS

• Participated in migrating on-premise BizTalk solutions to an iPaaS environment

• Detailed the BizTalk Server version and target iPaaS solution

• Described personal role and responsibilities in the migration effort
