On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Transformation Program Manager. The successful candidate will work with senior executives to help define and shape a major business transformation initiative.


Responsibilities:

• Work with senior executives to help define and shape a major business transformation initiative.

• Contribute to refining strategic objectives and the overall program vision.

• Ability to work back from business outcomes to establish program approach and initiatives.

• Familiarity with running a series of proof-of-value experiments to validate strategic investment in transformation initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of a program measurement framework that will monitor program progress and will be used to evaluate potential projects.

• Plan, manage and oversee all aspects of the program, connecting regularly with delivery teams to guide them, monitor and report on progress.

• Experience in planning and facilitating sessions, innovative problem solving, possess strong PowerPoint presentation skills, be able to motivate project teams to deliver, and maintain positive relationships with project teams, sponsor(s), managers, and heads of divisions.

• Apply strong strategic thinking to effectively align initiatives with broader organizational priorities and goals.

• Creation and delivery of clear executive briefings to senior leaders.

• Coordinate and lead a diverse set of business projects which make up a program, including overseeing resource planning, risk management, assembling appropriate information to make decisions and monitoring progress of the entire program.

• Overseeing the program budget.

• Coordinating various work streams into the overall program plan.


Deliverables:

• Presentations for Project and Executive Steering Committees

• Workshop facilitation plans and materials

• Project/Program Plan(s)

• Statement of Work or Project Charter

• Logs for decisions, risks and issues

• Options/recommendations papers

• Forecasting and reporting on program financials


Qualifications:

• 10+ years of project management experience managing a variety of business and/or technology related projects, with at least 5 years managing programs (multiple projects).

• 5+ years of leading transformational initiatives that involve implementing a business future-state vision, from the definition phase through to implementation.

• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation (at various levels of the organization) communication skills.

• Extensive experience in program management including defining the governance, creating and monitoring plans, schedules, budgets and resources; status reporting; managing issues and risks; and change control.

• Extensive experience managing teams including the ability to communicate, set, and maintain clear expectations.

• Excellent reporting and presentation skills with the ability to work, communicate and present effectively at all levels of the organization, in particular with senior leaders.

• Ability to influence key stakeholders toward the achievement of the project/program objectives.

• Ability to manage expectations.

• Ability to proactively identify/manage risks and issues including mitigation strategies.

• Strong analytic, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
