On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple initiatives aimed at improving digital service delivery and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end project execution, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Provide project monitoring and controlling activities (e.g., status reports and dashboards, change requests, project initiation documents, risk and issue management, resource time tracking), as well as budget and timeline tracking of projected vs. actuals.
• Perform detailed planning activities for each phase of the project (e.g., development activities, schedule, etc.).
• Oversee discovery sessions, lead project scrums and related ceremonies. Collaborate with Business Analysts to document requirements and user stories. Work with technical teams to determine scope and organize work into sprints.
• Serve as Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead discovery sessions, project scrums, and ceremonies; document requirements/user stories; coordinate with technical teams to determine scope and sprint organization.
• Drive structure and content for project status meetings and steering committee updates with key stakeholders, as well as for all Agile/project ceremonies.
• Work with clients and internal teams to define and establish scope and requirements, create solutions, and develop executable plans, including resource needs, timelines, and costs.
• Support the project in creating development-ready, scoped, and approved user stories. Clearly articulate what needs to be accomplished with a defined “definition of done.”
• Report on the status and progress of assigned activities to project leadership.
• Identify potential non-technical risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
• Perform project closure activities, including business acceptance of the solution, close-out of logs and documents, and completion of the project closure report.
• Perform other related roles, tasks, and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification Requirements
• University degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology
OR An equivalent combination of a college diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and relevant experience may also be considered.
• Current certification in one of the following:
o Project Management Professional (PMP)
o Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
o PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
o PRINCE2
o Bidders are to provide proof of certification and date achieved.
Mandatory Experience Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Project Manager working on Information Technology projects within the last 15 years.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in full lifecycle delivery using Agile within the last 5 years.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
Scored Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Senior Agile IT Project Manager in IT system development and support.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with and leading cross-functional business and technical teams, including in-house and external stakeholders.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in change management activities, including developing plans to manage organizational change within projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost estimating, resource planning, reporting, and project time management.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated knowledge of IT system concepts and their impact on business processes.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Agile project delivery using Azure DevOps, including:
o Leading team activities (daily standups, PI planning, sprint planning)
o Conducting retrospectives
o Administering team backlogs
o Collaborating with product owners
o Removing team impediments
o Minimum 2 years of experience as a SCRUM Master, with demonstrated examples.
o Demonstrated experience using effective communication to positively impact project success.
