On behalf of our public sector client. Affinity is looking for a Project Manager to oversee the installation of network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, and support for security systems such as cameras, access controls, and badging. Coordinate provisioning and relocation of workstations and printers for staff, and provide network consulting for building systems (e.g., fire alarms). Collaborate on AV integration with provided equipment and ensure smooth setup of related workstations and tools.


Responsibilities:

• Install Network incl. Wi-Fi

• Support Security cameras, access controls, and badging.

• Provide UWM workstations and printers to UWM/HMC staff that will sit in the building. approximately 10 UWM/HMC staff. Will need to re-locate the majority of staff to the building.

• Provide network consulting where needed (example, Fire alarm connection to network)

• AV equipment will be provided by King County, but expect an AMC workstation and possible KVM with or some sort of tool to use King County workstation.


Qualifications:

•  7+ years of experience serving in a project leadership role with responsibility for managing progressively more complicated vendor-packaged system deployment and/or process improvement projects 

•  Demonstrated experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding all teams accountable for performance

•  Demonstrated leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations/business units

•  Demonstrated experience effectively working with multiple, diverse stakeholders in a complex project environment within a cross-functional matrix environment

•  Demonstrated experience managing project work and/or work of others within an established standard project lifecycle framework

•  Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management

•  Strong experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget close

•  Strong experience in Project Methodologies (e.g., Agile, SCRUM, SDLC/Waterfall)

•  Experience negotiating vendor contracts

•  Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary

•  Experience maintaining relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives

•  Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers

•  Experience researching best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and using continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results

•  Technically competent with various software programs including MS Office tools (e.g., Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

 

Experience in the areas below would be desired:

• Academic Healthcare experience

• Project Server or other PPM tool experience

• Familiarity with technical architecture, including applications, servers, databases and networks

• Continuous Quality Improvement training and experience leading quality improvement teams

•  Strong organizational, multitasking, and collaboration skills in various work environments including complex, matrix environments 

•  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence

•  Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

•  Internal motivation to be action oriented and results driven with ability to adapt to change

•  Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective

•  Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment

•  Decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities

•  Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
