On behalf of our client Affinity is seeking an IAM Lead on a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the IAM program by defining its strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals.
 - Execute IAM initiatives, projects, and ongoing system improvements, including the implementation of new IAM solutions or features, ensuring proper integration and configuration.
 - Oversee day-to-day operations of IAM systems, ensuring stability, reliability, and availability of IAM tools.
 - Manage routine maintenance of IAM systems, ensuring enhancements, patches, and updates are applied in a timely manner.
 - Continuously assess and improve IAM processes and systems to meet evolving business needs.
 - Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and secure access management practices across the organization.
 - Work closely with business units, security teams, and IT to understand and address IAM needs, ensuring IAM solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
 - Provide leadership on IAM-related projects, guiding IAM specialists and analysts through the design and implementation stages. Serve as a technical point of contact for IAM tools, technologies, and processes.
 - Document business processes and define workflows for identity lifecycle management, access requests, and access reviews.
 - Lead the selection and evaluation of IAM and security tools by assessing vendors, ensuring product capabilities align with business requirements, and driving the decision-making process for implementing new solutions.
 - Estimate work packages, project activities, and dependencies to ensure realistic project planning.
 - Manage and mentor the IAM team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
 - Define and lead the IAM operating model, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security requirements.
 
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills, including team management, coaching, and performance reviews.
 - Deep knowledge of IAM technologies and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM).
 - Hands-on experience with cloud IAM solutions (e.g., Entra ID, B2B & MTO architectures, Okta, CyberArk, SailPoint, Saviynt…).
 - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in IAM environments.
 - Ability to manage IAM projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business needs and security standards.
 - Experience managing ongoing operations, maintenance, and incident support of IAM systems.
 - Understanding of non-human identities and their role in securing access to systems and applications.
 - Expertise in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), including defining roles, entitlements, and access policies to ensure least privilege and minimize risk.
 - Ability to evaluate IAM and security products and lead the selection process based on business needs, security requirements, and vendor capabilities.
 - Understanding of security incident management and how IAM integrates with other security tools to detect, respond to, and mitigate identity-related threats.
 - Knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory (AD).
 - Experience creating IAM steering decks to present strategies, roadmaps, and key updates to leadership.
 - Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and stakeholders.
