Reporting to the Manager, Vendor & Contract Management, the Analyst is responsible to develop and/or support the sourcing plans and needs of the organization and to deliver vendor and contract management services. The Analyst will apply various analysis techniques to inform sourcing and contracting decisions, engages stakeholders in sourcing initiatives and implements the processes, procedures, and tools to provide maximum return on investment.
The Analyst is an integral part of the effective and efficient delivery of products and services and will collaborate and communicate with both corporate and technical teams. The position will be performed fully remotely unless otherwise approved by the Manager, Vendor & Contract Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engages with stakeholders to identify, understand, and capture sourcing and contracting needs for various categories of supply
• Manages the contract lifecycle for key services including staff augmentation, professional services, software, data, and managed services
• Collaborates, or leads as the commercial SME on contracting activities
• Contributes to the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, and tools for vendor and contract management and administration operations
• Identifies risks and issues proactively and proposes contracting and supply activities to mitigate such risks and issues for stakeholders
• Executes sourcing and contacting activities for assigned area(s) including pre-award negotiations, and post-award activities in an ethical, transparent, effective and efficient manner.
• Monitors and tracks the cost savings, cost avoidance, and other benefits produced by contract management activities for assigned area(s) and develops reporting to demonstrate the results achieved
• Performs contract administration activities in alignment with vendor management and corporate procurement procedures, tools, and templates
• Undertakes special projects or assignments as required
• Identifies, assesses, and makes recommendations on process improvement activities
• Performs other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, in a related field, or equivalent experience
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in contract lifecycle management, strategic sourcing, and category management with at least 2 years of experience managing technology related agreements
• Experience with multiple components of the Source-to-Pay process and knowledge of various sourcing strategies
• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a clients-first approach
• Proven track record of managing complex contracts for software subscriptions and professional services
• Professional certifications such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) is an asset
• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications is required (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
Preferred:
• Experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing or similar tools
• Public and private sector procurement experience
• Ability to work onsite at our Victoria office
