Affinity Staffing is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support our client’s enterprise and operational technology environments. This role focuses on strengthening application and system security, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and embedding cybersecurity best practices throughout project delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on assessment experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders to enhance overall cyber resilience.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct application and system security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors.
  • Recommend and support implementation of security controls, remediation plans, and process improvements.
  • Participate in project teams to ensure security requirements are addressed from design through implementation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of cybersecurity programs including threat intelligence, incident response, and disaster recovery.
  • Assist in third-party technology security assessments and manage resulting recommendations.
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives such as employee training and phishing simulations.
  • Collaborate with IT, OT, and business teams to embed secure design and configuration principles across systems.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats, technologies, and compliance requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, ICS Cyber Risk Management).
  • Document findings, recommendations, and improvements in a structured and repeatable manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with a minimum of three years of IT or ICS support experience; or
  • a two-year diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Technology with at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Cybersecurity, Operational Technology, or IT Infrastructure.
  • Cybersecurity certifications from organizations such as ISACA or (ISC)² (e.g., CISM, CISSP, SSCP, CSX-P) required.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity risk management, application security, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Understanding of IT, OT, and ICS environments, including related security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to document processes, drive improvement initiatives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
