On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager to oversee and support various operational projects within the Business Operations Management department. The role involves leading and coordinating multiple projects across the Operational Services branch, ensuring deliverables, timelines, risk schedules, and change plans are met. The candidate will ensure projects are on budget, meet organizational needs, and adhere to the organization's standards. 


Deliverables:

  • Modernization of Application and Reapplication Process – Modernize SAFER and RAP application and reapplication processes to expedite processing, reduce administrative workload, and minimize back-and-forth communication—while enhancing accessibility, privacy, and the overall client experience. 
  • Budget Workflow Modernization – Develop project plan to support the integration of Power Automate with Dynamics 365 (PartnerHub) to enable secure, automated document exchange with external Providers—supporting legacy system retirement, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing transparency through real-time tracking, centralized approvals, and flexible submission options. 
  • Agreement Modernization – Develop a roadmap to modernize agreement processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance transparency. This includes transitioning from legacy systems to scalable, automated workflows that support secure document exchange, centralized tracking, and streamlined approvals— ultimately improving stakeholder experience and operational agility. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of successfully managing projects 

• Experience in creating project plans, risk assessments, contingency planning, tracking and management of project progress, tracking issues, and managing resources. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams. 

• Deals comfortably with management and can present and converse with people in positions of authority. 

• Good judgment and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum course of action. 

• Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven to succeed. 

• Experience building meaningful relationships with the team, other internal departments, and vendors. 

• Must have an adaptable project management style to overcome unexpected challenges during the project. 

• Must be able to manage conflicts amongst the team and maintain a harmonious work environment. 

• Must be a team player and willing to assist the team in whichever way necessary to ensure the successful delivery of the project. 


Preference will be given to candidates with the following: 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Experienced working under time pressures and able to manage simultaneous priorities, pressures, and deadlines. 

• Experience working for public or non-profit agencies is an asset.
