Apply for Senior Programmer / Senior SQL Developer

On behalf of our Healthcare Client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Senior Programmer / Senior SQL Developer to augment the current Cancer App & DSP (Data Sharing Platform) technical support team. The chosen individual’s work will be comprised of a mixture of steady state and project-based efforts.  

Responsibilities:

• Database conversions

• Prepare data for analytics

• Investigation into and design of data sharing platform (DSP)

• Prepare for security models for DSP

• Technical governance

• Troubleshooting and problem solving

• Advance the goals of the DSP

• After-hours support as needed

Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Minimum 15 years of demonstrated IM/IT experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting and maintaining health applications for Regional Health Authorities and/or Departments of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction

• Minimum 10 years of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), including creation of SSIS packages

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English

• Availability to start work immediately on site in Fredericton, New Brunswick

Scored Requirements:

• 5+ years of recent experience as a Senior Programmer/SQL Developer on health analytics or health reporting database systems for Regional Health Authorities and/or Departments of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction

• 10+ years of experience with relational database systems, including SQL Server (version 2012 or later)

• 8+ years of experience maintaining and developing SQL Server databases, tables, views, queries, functions, stored procedures, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, packages, and performance tuning

• 10+ years of experience with Enterprise BI or other analytic/data warehouse technologies, with preference for Power BI administration

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying SSRS reports and/or Power BI dashboards

• 8+ years of experience developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in operational environments

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture involving multiple systems and domains

• 3+ years of experience with Cognos/Impromptu
