Apply for Senior Business Analyst

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work within the ERP team to support or deliver on technical requirements elicitation, creation of business requirements documents, and production of other project artifacts such as Integration Specifications.  

Responsibilities:

Requirements and Specification Development

- Develop detailed functional specifications for ERP modules across finance, procurement, projects, supply chain, and HR.

- Contribute to technical specifications, including:

- Integration requirements, data flows, and mappings between ERP and external systems.

- Data migration strategies covering mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation.

- Reporting specifications for dashboards and analytics tools.

2. Requirements Analysis and Validation

- Lead workshops and sessions to gather and validate business and system requirements.

- Perform fit-gap analysis between standard ERP functionality and business needs.

- Ensure traceability from business objectives to functional and technical documentation.

3. Solution Design and Implementation Support

- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate requirements into ERP solution designs.

- Support configuration activities, including setup of organizational structures, workflows, and approvals.

- Assist with integration, data migration, and automation design using platform tools.

4. Business Process Analysis and Documentation

- Document current-state processes, identifying inefficiencies and dependencies.

- Design future-state processes aligned with ERP best practices.

- Create process flows, RACI charts, and procedural documentation for configuration and training.

5. Testing and Quality Assurance Support

- Develop test scenarios, cases, and acceptance criteria for integration and user testing.

- Support test execution, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.

- Validate data migration, configuration, and integration outcomes against defined criteria.

6. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

- Serve as liaison between business stakeholders, implementation teams, and technical resources.

- Facilitate design walkthroughs, pilot sessions, and demonstrations to validate solutions.

- Provide clear documentation and updates to leadership and governance bodies.

7. Reporting and Project Governance

- Prepare documentation and reports aligned with project management standards.

- Contribute to planning, risk tracking, and status reporting for requirements and testing.

- Maintain version control and change logs for all specifications.

8. Strategic and Analytical Support

- Support strategic assessments such as SWOT, feasibility, and impact analyses.

- Deliver data-driven insights to optimize processes, configurations, and reporting.

- Promote best practices and support change management and adoption efforts.

Compliance Requirements

- Completion of confidentiality agreements and privacy/security training prior to project start.

Qualifications:

- Possesses a university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or holds a recognized community college certification in Information Technology. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

- Has 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst focused on requirements elicitation, business transformation, process design, and IT solution implementation.

- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

- Resume must be limited to 5 pages and emphasize scored requirements and deliverables.

- Proven experience conducting business analysis for complex transformation initiatives within multi-entity organizations, including managing competing stakeholder priorities and resolving issues.

- Demonstrates effective prioritization of tasks and activities, including time management strategies, input sources, and validation mechanisms.

- Experience collaborating with business and technical subject matter experts to gather requirements and define integration processes, including communication methods and resulting deliverables.

- Skilled in presenting and facilitating sessions related to ERP integration, including stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, deliverable creation, and investigative approaches.

- Capable of producing visual models and architecture diagrams that illustrate business capabilities, system components, and their interdependencies.

- Experience developing operational procedures, standards, and policies aligned with business outcomes, including documentation and methodology.

- Has participated in at least one cloud SaaS implementation involving significant business transformation.

- Familiarity with ERP solutions, particularly in Human Resources, Finance, or Procurement domains.

- Holds a current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association (e.g., PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP).
