On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Digital Content Writer/Editor to be responsible for writing, editing, and publishing accessible, user-focused web content across corporate platforms while ensuring brand standards and best practices. Manages daily content updates, adapts source material for online publishing, and supports distributed authors with guidance on web writing and content management tools. Collaborates with stakeholders to interpret requirements, develop effective content solutions, and contribute to cross-functional projects.
Accountabilities:
• Write, edit, and publish user-friendly and accessible content on our websites: Broker Connect, business partners and the Hub, ensuring best practices and brand standards are met.
• Manage day-to-day operational content update requests as assigned.
• Edit and adapt source material for publishing online.
• Coach and support distributed authors throughout the company on web writing best practices, the organization's standards, and authoring in SharePoint and Contentful.
• Interpret client requirements and develop content solutions to meet business objectives and audience needs.
• Contribute to cross-functional content projects as needed.
Deliverables:
• Published content meets best practices for online, the organization's standards, business objectives, and all deadlines.
• Day-to-day operational update requests are successfully managed and delivered.
• Support provided to distributed authors.
• Effective collaboration with the team.
Position Specific Skills or Qualifications required:
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of writing and editing for digital channels
• Experience writing, editing and publishing content using content management systems (SharePoint and Contentful would be an asset)
• Experience supporting and training a network of distributed authors
• Experience in maintaining brand standards and style guidelines
• Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines, and adjust priorities according to changing demands and schedules
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a large organization would be an asset
• Experience with MS Teams, Jira and Asana would be an asset
• Experience (2-4 years) in a similar role would be an asset
