On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support multiple business transformation initiatives, including:
• Customer-facing technology transformation
• Migration from legacy on-prem systems to cloud-based SaaS
• Incident Management & Security Program initiatives
• Digital Signage
• Marketing Workflow systems
• Governance development for the M365 / SharePoint portfolio (priority focus)
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Governance
• Deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget
• Follow project methodology, policies, and procedures
• Establish and manage change control processes
• Define project success criteria and track throughout lifecycle
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and leverage lessons learned
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
• Facilitate:
o Workshops
o Working Groups
o Steering Committee meetings
• Report status to:
o Project Owner
o Sponsor
o Steering Committee
• Manage stakeholder expectations
• Support Directors and Executive Sponsors
Strategy & Business Alignment
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business needs
• Analyze and evaluate client needs
• Advise on timing and prioritization of initiatives
• Identify interdependencies and conflicting requirements
• Contribute to short- and long-term strategic plans
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Work with Supply Chain on:
o RFPs
o RFIs
o Vendor evaluation
o Selection
o Contract negotiation
Team & Relationship Management
• Support team performance management
• Build and maintain critical business relationships
• Apply conflict management practices
Methodology
• Follow PMI best practices
• Align with BCF PMO standards and governance
Deliverables
Typical deliverables include:
• Project Charter
• Project Roadmap & Workplan(s)
• Change Management & Communications Plan
• Documentation aligned with PMO standards
Required Experience
• 8–10+ years project management experience
• Technology-driven projects/programs
• Digital transformation or technology-enabled transformation
• Managed budgets over $500K
Assets (Nice to Have)
• ITIL Certification
• Additional relevant certifications aligned with required experience
Soft Skills
• Cross-functional leadership in complex organizations
• Strong communication & stakeholder management
• Experience supporting Directors and Executive Sponsors
•Ability to manage shifting priorities
