On behalf of our Public Sector client, Affinity is seeking a Project Manager to plan, manage, and deliver large-scale, complex projects involving internal teams, external agencies, and contractors. The role includes defining project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, and overseeing implementation to ensure successful outcomes with minimal operational impact.
Deliverables:
- Develop project plan and budget
- Project status updates
- Develops/maintains project RACI and RAID Log
- Presentations to sponsors and project team
- Project closure report
Specific Accountabilities
- Plans, manages and implements large scale, complex projects involving internal departments, external agencies and contractors. Defines project scope and structure and develops project plan and budget.
- Coordinates project schedule and deliverables with internal departments and/or external agencies.
- Negotiates for and/or arranges acquisition of project goods and services.
- Oversees project implementation and make changes to project plan and budget as required. Manages activities to minimize impact on operations. Evaluates results.
- Manage communications with internal departments and external agencies. Resolves related issues and problems.
- Monitors the work of junior project managers. Manages multi-disciplinary project teams. Develops, coaches, trains and assess performance of project team members.
- Oversee the development of project documentation. Presents project status reports.
Technical Requirements
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts, standards, practices and tools of project management
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices of negotiation pertaining to resource acquisition
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices of risk management
- Knowledge of the relevant department, division or corporate business functions, strategies, goals and objectives
- Knowledge of the concepts, standards and practices of quality and cost control/management
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts and strategies of change management
- Knowledge of the relevant computer systems, technology and applications

Background
The work requires a sound understanding of the underlying theoretical principles and concepts associated with the subject area and an understanding of the relation of these to the responsibilities of the job. This specialized training is typically recognized by an undergraduate degree and/or a professional designation in a technical/business/scientific field.
