On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking an Enterprise Architect. Reporting to the IT Manager of Enterprise Architecture within the Business Engagement Services team, the Enterprise Architect for Prevention provides architectural leadership and strategic technology advice supporting Occupational Health and Safety services. The role focuses on aligning business objectives with technology solutions across the Prevention division’s product portfolio. 


Responsibilities:

• Translate strategic business objectives and requirements into high level solution blueprints, architectural visions, and technology roadmaps.

• Lead the architecture of a portfolio of products for the Prevention division, reducing complexity while managing technology investments and risks.

• Collaborate with product managers and Enterprise Delivery and Operations to define products, components, interfaces, and deployment topology.

• Evaluate vendor proposals and map business and non functional requirements to solution capabilities, recommending best value and ROI options.

• Define common services and technical enablers and guide delivery teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.

• Contribute to IT technology governance, ensuring solutions generate business value while mitigating risk.

• Support product owners, subject matter experts, and delivery teams in design decisions and architecture related practices.


Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline.

• 9 to 12 years of directly related experience, including at least 6 years defining business application portfolios and/or designing large scale enterprise systems.

• Experience in IT operations within occupational health and safety, regulatory operations, enforcement, engineering audit and inspection, or risk assessment environments (e.g., Technical Safety BC, RoadSafetyBC, Transport Canada, CFIA) is a strong asset.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
