On behalf of a public sector client, we are seeking a Clinical Systems Project Manager to provide strategic oversight across multiple concurrent initiatives within a large-scale redevelopment program.
This role is focused on coordination and governance rather than direct project execution. The successful candidate will act as a systems thinker, ensuring alignment across projects, identifying interdependencies, and supporting individual project teams in maintaining progress toward shared objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Support the process of gaining final steering committee approval of the proposed clinical systems approach, including for which systems will support which aspects of the existing requirements set. This work is well underway.
• Be the primary liaison between the Slocan redevelopment project team and the various systems project teams. These system project teams include third party vendor teams and internal PHSA teams.
• Develop an integrated (high-level) project plan – working with the various sub-project teams to coordinate efforts.
• Coordinate the engagement of clinical subject matter experts across multiple systems projects.
• Lead the preparation of overall learning materials, workflows or other required implementation artifacts – especially as they relate to cross-project needs.
• Lead the issuance of internal project requests and status reports.
• Manage the overall clinical systems budget, distributed to each of the sub-projects.
• Lead and participate in Steering Committees as required.
Qualifications:
• Significant (10+ years) experience leading healthcare information systems projects in a project management or program management capacity.
• Experience leading steering committees.
• Experience supporting, influencing and coordinating multiple projects not directly under management by the candidate.
• Experience with Oracle Cerner products, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other enterprise-scale Microsoft products.
• Experience working within BC’s Healthcare environment.
