Apply for Workday Core HCM Lead

We are looking to connect with an experienced Workday Core HCM Lead available for contract engagement. This role provides functional leadership across core HCM configuration and design on a large, multi-year Workday implementation. If you've led HCM workstreams on a complex Workday program — owning foundational design decisions and guiding teams through configuration, testing, and go-live — we'd like to talk.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

•    Lead the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday Core HCM including organizational structures, job framework, positions, worker profiles, and business processes

•    Facilitate design workshops and requirements sessions with HR stakeholders and business SMEs

•    Own HCM configuration decisions and ensure alignment with overall program architecture and downstream modules

•    Partner with integration, data, and reporting leads to ensure HCM design supports cross-functional requirements

•    Review and approve HCM-related configuration completed by functional analysts and SI partner resources

•    Develop and maintain functional design documentation, configuration workbooks, and decision logs

•    Lead HCM testing activities including test scenario development, SIT coordination, and UAT support

•    Provide guidance on Workday business process design and security configuration as it relates to HCM

•    Support cutover planning, parallel runs, and post go-live stabilization

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•    5+ years of Workday HCM functional experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation as HCM lead

•    Deep hands-on knowledge of Workday Core HCM — org design, job and position management, staffing models, and business process configuration

•    Experience leading or co-leading functional design workshops with HR business stakeholders

•    Strong understanding of how HCM foundational design impacts downstream modules including Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Compensation

•    Ability to work effectively within SI-led delivery models and manage competing priorities

•    Workday HCM Pro certification is a strong asset

•    Experience in large, complex organizations with multiple employee populations is preferred
