On behalf of our public-sector client, Affinity is seeking a System Access Analyst.
Accountabilities:
• Accountable for the timely and accurate triage, validation, fulfilment, and routing of identity and access requests across assigned request queues.
• Responsible for ensuring access is provisioned, updated, or removed in line with approved business needs, security standards, and established procedures.
• Monitor and manage access request volumes, aged items, and service level expectations to support reliable and consistent service delivery.
• Assess access requirements and apply least privileged model to ensure users receive appropriate access based on role, approval, risk, and operational need.
• Support identity and access lifecycle activities, including onboarding, role changes, transfers, contractor access, external user access, and access removals.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate identity and access-related incidents, service requests, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner. New Contractor Request
• Support access reviews, audit requests, compliance activities, cleanup efforts, and other identity governance work to help maintain a secure access environment.
• Collaborate with IAM team members, technical teams, business partners, and request fulfilment groups to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and improve access request processes.
Deliverables:
• Deliver timely and accurate completion of access requests, including triage, approval validation, provisioning, updates, removals, and routing to the appropriate fulfillment teams.
• Maintain access request queues by meeting service level objectives, reducing access request backlog items, and supporting steady improvement in open request volumes.
• Provide secure and appropriate access to corporate systems, applications, databases, and information in line with established security standards and procedures.
• Process identity and access lifecycle activities for internal and external users, including onboarding, role changes, access changes, and access removals.
• Resolve or appropriately route identity and access-related incidents, service requests, and operational issues to support reliable service delivery.
• Contribute to access reviews, audit requests, compliance activities, cleanup efforts, and other identity and access governance work as required.
• Maintain clear documentation and accurate request records to support auditability, knowledge sharing, and consistent operational practices.
• Identify and support improvements to identity and access workflows, request handling processes, queue management, and team operating practices.
Position Specific Skills or Qualifications:
• Experience supporting identity and access operations, including access requests, provisioning, role changes, access removals, and day-to-day operational support.
• Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts, access controls, approval workflows, user lifecycle processes, and security best practices.
• Experience with Active Directory administration, including user accounts, groups, permissions, and related access management activities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 security administration, or similar cloud-based identity and access tools.
• Experience using service management or incident management tools to manage requests, incidents, approvals, escalations, and service level expectations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to assess access needs, identify issues, and determine the appropriate action.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, frequent interruptions, and time-sensitive requests.
• Clear communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business partners, and user communities.
