Apply for Senior Project Manager - Enterprise Applications Modernization and Transformation - Capital Projects

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead key initiatives within IT's multi-year Application Modernization Program.

Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise application modernization and transformation projects from initiation through implementation.

• Manage complex delivery across multiple technical workstreams.

• Partner with:

o Solution architects to align technical direction.

o Integration teams to manage system connectivity.

o Data governance teams to support data readiness and standards.

o Business teams to ensure adoption and operational readiness.

• Develop and maintain:

o Project schedules.

o Resource plans.

o Risk and issue management processes.

o Executive reporting.

• Coordinate technical delivery activities including:

o Application configuration.

o Data migration activities.

o Integration planning.

o Testing and deployment.

• Drive governance, decision-making, and issue resolution.

• Ensure successful transition from project delivery into operational support.

Qualifications:

• Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise application modernization and transformation initiatives.

• This role will support large-scale technology projects focused on transitioning legacy solutions to modern cloud-based platforms.

• The role will work closely with enterprise architecture, integration teams, data governance teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders to enable successful transformation outcomes.

• The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex enterprise application implementations, modernization programs, and technology transformation initiatives.

Required Skills, Experience and Certifications:

• 15+ years of experience managing complex enterprise technology projects and programs.

• Demonstrated experience leading application modernization initiatives, including:

o Legacy system transformation.

o Cloud migration.

o Enterprise platform implementation.

• Strong experience coordinating across:

o Solution architects.

o Integration teams.

o Data governance teams.

o Application owners.

o Business stakeholders.

• Experience managing complex system integrations and technology dependencies.

• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience managing projects with significant organizational change and stakeholder impact.

• Strong vendor management and procurement experience.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, risks, and dependencies.

• Experience working in large, complex organizations preferred.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
