Apply for Senior Project Manager – Application Modernization (AWS)

On behalf of the Healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solution is looking for a Senior Project Manager – Application Modernization to lead key initiatives within IT's multi-year Application Modernization Program.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and delivery of one or more application modernization initiatives from initiation through implementation.

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting.

• Coordinate delivery across AWS developers, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, database, and business teams.

• Facilitate governance, decision-making, and executive stakeholder engagement.

• Support application assessments, modernization planning, architecture reviews, and implementation activities.

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment across technical and business workstreams.

• Drive organizational readiness, deployment planning, and transition into operational support.

• Ensure delivery aligns with the ALM Strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and cloud adoption objectives.

Qualifications:

• Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead one or more enterprise application modernization initiatives.

• Projects will focus on modernizing, migrating, consolidating, or replacing critical administrative and operational systems as part of the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Strategy.

• The role will work closely with AWS, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data, and business stakeholders to deliver modernization outcomes.

• The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex cloud transformation, application modernization, and enterprise technology initiatives in large organizations.

Required Skills, Experience, and Certifications:

• 10+ years of experience leading complex enterprise technology projects and programs.

• Demonstrated experience delivering application modernization or cloud migration initiatives.

• Ability to work effectively across diverse technology environments, including cloud platforms and enterprise application ecosystems.

• Experience managing ambiguity and driving delivery where requirements, scope, or architecture may still be evolving.

• Strong experience coordinating across:

o Enterprise Architects

o AWS or Cloud Development Teams

o Cybersecurity Teams

o Infrastructure Teams

o Database Administrators

o Network Teams

o Business Stakeholders

• Experience managing vendors, consultants, and third-party delivery partners.

• Strong risk, issue, dependency, and governance management capabilities.

• Experience working within compliance and governance frameworks is an asset.

• AWS delivery experience is considered an asset.

• Experience working in large, complex organizations is preferred.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
